I've finished the first of my infantry units for my Almohad Berber army project. This is a unit of Sudanese Mercenaries.
The figures are all Artizan with particular 'mercenary', rather than tribal shields selected, to tie the unit together a bit, plus the bamboo spears have a green stuff 'tug' added to make them a bit more North African.
The standard is from a LBM transfer sheet but for some reason has darkened down quite considerably but it seems to look the part with the mercenary vibe.
Switching to a unit of cavalry next.
They look very smart.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Artisan figures. If I were starting all over again that's what I'd go for.

I like the Artizan style a lot too. I've got a fair numberr of GB figs for the project but the Artizan stuff has a great style of sculpting I like.
DeleteExcellent paint job, love these troops!
